Here’s When Ramadan Will Begin in Pakistan

The holy month of Ramadan is most likely to begin on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in Pakistan. The renowned astronomer and moon-sighting expert, Dr. Shahid Qureshi, said on TV that the Ramadan moon is expected to be sighted on April 13, 29 Sha’ban.

The Ramadan moon will be born on the morning of April 12, 2021. However, it will not be visible in Pakistan as it will be the 28th of Sha’ban in the country.

Dr. Shahid noted that the crescent would not be visible in most parts of the world on the evening of April 12, including Pakistan. However, it will be visible on the evening of April 13.

The birth of the month of Ramadan on Monday, April 12, will take place at 7.30 am Pakistan time, so on the evening of April 12, the crescent is not likely to be seen anywhere in the world.

However, the possibility of seeing the crescent through binoculars in some countries on this evening cannot be ruled out, he said.

Dr. Shahid said that the visibility of a weaker Ramadan moon on April 12 would be just for 18 minutes in Saudi Arabia compared to 1 hour 12 minutes, and 26 seconds on April 13 when it will be easily visible. However, according to Saudi traditions, the first fast in Saudi Arabia is likely to be on April 13.
