The Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has announced the schedule for the Matriculation and Intermediate examinations.
It was decided in a meeting of the PBCC in Lahore on Tuesday that the Matriculation examinations will commence from 17 June across the province, and that the Class 9 examinations will start on 27 July.

The meeting also conveyed to the respective boards that the Intermediate Part 1 examinations will commence from 11 August, and that the Part 2 examinations begin on 2 July this year.
The Matriculation examinations results will be declared on 30 August, and the results of the Second Year examinations will be out on 14 September.
Similarly, the Class 9 examination results will be announced on 29 October, and the First Year examination results will be declared on 14 November.
Furthermore, it has been agreed upon that the practical examinations will not be held this year.

Earlier today, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had decided to refer the matter of the reopening of the educational institutes to the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC).
It was also decided that a meeting of the IPEMC would be convened before 23 May to discuss the reopening of the educational institutes and the finalization of the schedules for the board examinations.
The NCOC had suggested that the schools be reopened for Classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 in the first phase.
