KP Announces Dates for Matric and Intermediate Exams

The matric and intermediate examinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will start on June 23. The government has mandated the COVID-19 vaccination certificate for the examination staff.

All eight boards will conduct exams at the same time, the notification issued on Wednesday said.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Chairmen Boards Committee, held at the Swat Board and attended by the chairmen of all eight boards.

Presided over by Dr. Shaukat Hayat, the meeting reviewed the pandemic situation in depth and decided to convene matric exams from June 23 and intermediate exams from June 24. The decision regarding the practical exams will be taken later.

The Express Tribune reported quoting an official source that the exams will be conducted as per the old method, and no new experiment will be allowed in this regard.

“The matter of practical exams was also deliberated upon. All the board chairmen were of the opinion that if the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic improves, then a decision will be taken to take the practical exams. Otherwise, they will be postponed.”

The source added that the entire examination staff would be posted after checking their COVID-19 vaccination certificates.
