The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a new travel advisory while extending the ban on entry from the Category C countries.
The CAA’s Department of Air Transport has released a notification saying that the new advisory will come into effect immediately and will last until 15 July.
The fresh guidelines that were issued on Tuesday (29 June) allow Pakistani nationals to return to Pakistan from Category C countries by 15 July.

The advisory allows the entry of travelers from the red-zone countries after special permission from the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC). While there had been no restrictions on Pakistani citizens coming in from these countries, they were required to produce a negative PCR test for COVID-19 – a condition that is still active.
Additionally, all the passengers will be tested for rapid antigen at Pakistan’s airports regardless of negative PCR tests.

If passengers test positive upon arrival, they will be shifted by the Provincial/District Administration to a self-paid facility for 10 days of quarantine.
The second RT PCR test will be conducted post-quarantine on the eighth day of the quarantine.
Currently, 26 countries including India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia have been placed in Category C by the CAA.
