This is the second consecutive day that the country has reported more than 1,500 cases. Except for 6 July when 830 cases were confirmed, more than 1,000 cases of Coronavirus have been reported every day this month.

If these indicators are anything to go by, it seems that the country is moving towards the fourth wave of Coronavirus, of which the Federal Planning Minister, Asad Umar, who also heads the NCOC, warned a couple of weeks ago.

During a press briefing following the NCOC meeting, the Minister had warned that the country may witness a fourth wave of Coronavirus if the public stopped being cautious.
