Apple iPad 6 Mini is Launching in Fall With a New Design: Leak

Apple has been refreshing its iMac, MacBook, and iPad lineups with new designs and custom chipsets that replace Intel processors. Now a new leak suggests that the iPad Mini 6 is the next product on the list to get a design refresh.

The leak comes from Mark Gurman of the Power On newsletter who claims that Apple is planning to launch a revamped version of the iPad Mini later this year. The Cupertino giant will reportedly also launch a larger display model of the Apple iMac. This new iMac may have a 27-inch screen and is likely to be powered by the M1X or M2 chipset.

As part of the redesign, the iPad 6 Mini is expected to come with smaller bezels and the home button will reportedly be removed. Gurman says that it will be the “biggest redesign in the nine-year history” of the device. The changes will be similar to those seen on iPad Air.

Leaked images show that the iPad 6 Mini will be slightly smaller with three color options: Silver, Black, and Gold. The Lightning Port may finally be replaced with a USB-C and the Touch ID will remain on top of the power button.

We expect the next iPad Mini to launch with an A-series Apple chipset, which usually differentiates the Pro and Mini models in terms of performance.
