The wave of price reductions continues in the second week of July, with the newcomers in the Pakistani automotive market also acknowledging the tax concessions enacted in the new auto policy. One newcomer that has also decreased the prices of its vehicles is Prince DFSK.
The following are the new prices for the entire lineup of Prince DFSK vehicles:
|Vehicles||Old Price (PKR)||Price Reduction (PKR)||New Prices (PKR)|
|Glory 580 1.5T||4,299,000||70,000||4,229,000|
|Glory 580 1.8||4,449,000||70,000||4,379,000|
|Glory 580 Pro 1.5T||4,699,000||89,000||4,610,000|
The new price of Prince Pearl was announced earlier last week, while those of the DFSK Glory 580 SUV were announced shortly afterward in the same week. The new prices of the MG HS, the petrol variant of the ZS, the entire Proton lineup, the FAW V2, and the Isuzu D-Max are yet to be announced. Additionally, all locally assembled passenger vehicles are now being sold at revised rates.
However, price hikes are expected in the near future due to the rising value of the US Dollar, ‘across the seas’ logistics challenges, the impending fourth wave of the pandemic, and the continued global shortage of semiconductor chips. Ultimately, it will be interesting to see how Pakistan’s automobile industry will handle these predicaments.
