XR20’s 6.67-inch LCD has 1080p resolution, 550 nits peak brightness, and can also be used with wet fingers and gloves very easily. The front camera is placed in the center as a punch-hole cutout.
The phone’s rugged casing is MIL-STD810H-certified to withstand drops from 1.8 meters. This is paired with IP68 water resistance and the tough Gorilla Glass Victus, making it one of the few phones that don’t require a case or screen protector.
There are no compromises in hardware specifications either. Nokia XR20 features the Snapdragon 480 SoC which brings 5G connectivity, 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage that can be expanded with an SD card.
You will get Android 11 out of the box with 4 years of security updates and 3 years of OS updates as mentioned earlier.
There are only two cameras on the back including a 48MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. This setup is capable of recording 1080p videos at 60 FPS and is loaded with a variety of features.
The punch-hole front camera is an 8MP snapper.
The 4,630 mAh battery has support for wired as well as wireless charging, which is rare to see on a mid-range smartphone. Wired charging goes up to 18W and wireless charging is capped at 15W.
The Nokia XR20 will be available in Ultra Blue and Granite Grey color options (shown above) for $550. Sales are due to start on August 27.
