Xiaomi Dethrones Samsung to Become the World’s Biggest Smartphone Vendor

Chinese phone maker Xiaomi is growing its overseas business rapidly and is now more than committed towards the global market, outperforming tech giants like Samsung and Apple in terms of phone sales for June, reported world-renowned market research firm Counterpoint.

As per the published research, Xiaomi’s sales grew 26% in June, managing a 17.1% hold over the global smartphone market over rivals Apple (14.3%) and Samsung (15.7%). With that being said, the Chinese phone maker has shipped more than 800 million phones around the world since 2011, thanks to the brand’s Redmi and Poco devices.
