DVAGO Rolls Up Its Sleeves to Fight the Battle Against Covid-19

While we are still struggling with the ongoing pandemic like all other countries, a worrying trend that’s been seen in Pakistan is people’s reluctance towards receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

In spite of the vaccine being free and available for the public, a certain segment of the population has been avoiding it for ill-founded reasons. This has been a key reason behind repeated waves of Covid-19, each one being stronger than the previous one.

DVAGO, a leading physical and online pharmacy chain in Pakistan, has vowed to combat this negative trend and raise awareness about the crucial importance of getting vaccinated against the deadly Covid-19 virus.

To that end, DVAGO has launched the #VaccineLagaoPakistanBachao campaign in which it is helping people realize the devastating socioeconomic impact of not getting vaccinated.

Upholding its tradition of providing medical facilities at customers’ doorstep, DVAGO has taken it upon itself to create awareness about the vaccine and urge people to get inoculated. The campaign in itself is one-of-a-kind and centered around the public’s benefit.

In these critical times when Pakistanis need a trusted source to educate them on the importance of getting vaccinated, DVAGO has stepped in to motivate people to do the right thing. Through this noble cause, DVAGO hopes to help the people of this country combat the deadly virus and emerge stronger than before.

To encourage people to get vaccinated, DVAGO will be giving away free goodie bags to the customers who show their vaccination cards when they visit DVAGO outlets.

The slogan of this campaign, #VaccineLagaoPakistanBachao, sends an empowering message of care and strength for the people of Pakistan and urges them to step forward to save the country in a collective effort.

DVAGO has marked its footprint in Sindh with 35 stores and is on the road to expanding further across the province and nationwide. It delivers authentic medicine at customers’ doorstep, thus reducing their exposure to the virus and meeting their medical needs at home.

Users can order original medicines for nearly all ailments straight from the DVAGO website. Besides that, the website also caters to the customers’ needs related to food & beverages, nutrition & supplements, medical devices & appliances, and hygiene & household products.

“It’s the people themselves that the Covid-19 adversely impacts both directly and indirectly,” shared Wasif Khan, CEO DVAGO.

“When people don’t get vaccinated, the virus returns in new waves with a higher severity level than before, a pattern that we’ve seen in Pakistan many times so far. And it’s not just their health that’s at severe risk; it’s the entire socioeconomic system that takes the hit.”

Wasif further added that hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis have lost their jobs, many small and medium-sized enterprises have gotten out of business, and the business climate overall has receded, which is no good sign in any circumstance.

“So, it’s the people themselves who can change it for the better. And all they have to do, for now, is get vaccinated themselves and ensure that all their loved ones do too.”

It’s important to note that DVAGO has also been actively working to combat different diseases and medical conditions common in Pakistan. For instance, it conducted free Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests at its Clifton branch in Karachi in December 2020.
