Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is Here With a New Chip but Same Price

The global chip supply shortage has forced Xiaomi to release a new version of the Mi 11 Lite 5G. This is because the Snapdragon 780G SoC from the original phone was becoming hard to find so we are now getting the Snapdragon 778G instead.

The key difference between the SD780G and SD778G is that the former is based on Samsung’s 5nm node while the latter was made using TSMC’s 6nm node. Otherwise, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE (New Edition) is exactly the same as the original.

Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is one of the lightest and slimmest Android phones in the world. It weighs only 159g and is 6.81mm thick. The screen is a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera at the top left corner is a 20MP shooter.

As mentioned earlier, the Snapdragon 780G has been replaced with the 778G with 6 to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The battery is a 4,250 mAh cell with support for 33W fast charging. The main camera setup includes a 64MP shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens.

Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE has a starting price of €369 and will be available in Truffle Black, Bubblegum Blue, Peach Pink, and Snowflake White color options.
