Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra May be Called Note 22 Ultra Instead

Samsung Galaxy S22 series is still a few months away from launch, but it’s already making rounds in leaks. We have already seen the entire lineup in leaked 3D renders, but we now have confusing reports for their names.

All of the industry has been assuming that the S22 series will bring the usual S22, S22+, and the S22 Ultra, but a recent report suggests otherwise. A new report from the reliable OnLeaks claims that the S22 Ultra will be called the Note 22 Ultra instead. This actually makes sense given how the S22 Ultra’s early renders look a lot like a Galaxy Note device complete with an S Pen slot.

Further, the S22+ may be called the S22 Pro instead. According to the source, Samsung is considering a name change after some internal discussions, but it has not been finalized yet. The source further explains that this is a fairly new development and it likely means that Samsung did not deliberately orchestrate the confusion.

This may be further evidence that Samsung is going to get rid of the Note lineup for good this time. However, since it is only early leaks and renders, there is no confirmation on any of this info as of yet. Hence, we would recommend taking this information with a grain of salt.
