Female YouTuber Hina Mahmood Arrested on Blackmailing Charges

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested the renowned female YouTuber and Vlogger, Hina Mahmood, for allegedly blackmailing high-rank government officials.

Upon receiving multiple complaints, a team of FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing raided her residence in the Nawab Town area of Lahore and arrested the YouTuber on Wednesday.

The officials of federal and provincial institutions had approached FIA to arrest the YouTuber who, according to the officials, had been blackmailing them using their objectionable videos.

According to another report, Hina had obtained those videos by hacking into victims’ social media and email accounts.

The report claimed that the FIA apprehended the suspect after a complaint was launched from a male and a female officer regarding the hacking of their mobile phones. The accused allegedly leaked their compromised videos on social media and blackmailed them for money.

The Cyber-Crime Wing traced her using the leaked data and arrested the YouTuber from her residence in Nawab Town.

Dozens of compromising videos and photos of these officials were recovered from her possession, FIA officials stated, adding that a case had been lodged against the accused.
