The Peoples Bus Service has announced that it will stop running on certain routes on the 9th and 10th of Muharram.
During these days, bus service will be suspended across Karachi, except for the route from Malir Halt to Super Highway, which will continue to operate.
The city’s traffic police have also issued a traffic plan for processions on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of Muharram.
On the 8th of Muharram, a procession will start at Nishtar Park and end at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar. Due to security concerns, Muhammad Ali (MA) Jinnah Road will be closed from Gurumandir to Tower.
The procession will follow a route through Nishtar Park, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Mehfil-i-Shah-i-Khurasan, and several points on MA Jinnah Road before reaching the imam bargah.
On the 9th of Muharram, a procession will begin at Martin Road Imambargah in Liaquatabad at 9 am and will reach Nishtar Park by noon for a Majlis. Afterward, the procession will move from Nishtar Park to Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.
It will pass through Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Mehfil-i-Shah-i-Khurasan, various points on MA Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street, Preedy Street, Tibet Chowk, Bolton Market, Bombay Bazaar, and Nawaz Mahabat Khanjee Road before reaching the imam bargah.
