In a significant development, judges from the Lahore High Court (LHC) have been appointed members of syndicates across 19 public universities in Punjab.
According to details, Chief Justice LHC Aalia Neelum has been appointed as a syndicate member at Punjab University, while Justice Ali Baqar Najafi has joined the syndicate of the University of Engineering and Technology.
Justice Abid Uzair Sheikh has assumed responsibilities at the University of Education, and Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan is appointed to Agriculture University Rawalpindi.
Among other notable appointments are Justice Shehbaz Ali Rizvi at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Justice Faisal Zaman at Islamia University Bahawalpur, and Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry and Justice Abid Masood Naqvi at the University of Law College.
Justice Chaudhry Iqbal and Justice Risal Hussain Syed will contribute to the Board of Studies at Government College University Lahore’s Department of Law.
Further appointments include Justice Shahid Karim as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Lahore University of Management Sciences, Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan, and Justice Jawad Ahsan in various roles within boards of studies.
Furthermore, Justice Shahram Sarwar has joined King Edward Medical University, Justice Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar will serve at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture Multan, and Justice Tariq Saleem at University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
Moreover, Justice Chaudhry Abid Aziz will contribute to the Board of Governors at Foundation University Islamabad, Justice Anwar Haq at the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Justice Farooq Haider at Lahore College for Women University, Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan at Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi, and Justice Asim Hafeez at National College of Arts.
