Pakistan’s imports from Iran surged past the $1 billion mark during the last fiscal year (FY24).
According to official data available with ProPakistani, the country’s imports from Iran surged by 18 percent over the previous year in FY24 to stand at $1.04 billion compared to imports of $880 million reported in FY23.
During the last month of the FY24 i.e. June 2024, imports from Iran surged 38 percent year-on-year to $90 million compared to imports of $65.1 million reported in the same month of the previous fiscal year.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan’s overall imports stood at $54.734 billion in FY24 compared to $55.198 billion in FY23.
