Yutong, the world’s leading bus manufacturer, has announced plans to establish a new plant in Karachi dedicated to producing intra-city and electric vehicles (EV) buses. This decision follows an invitation extended by Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon in July 2022.
According to Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Yutong’s Middle East CEO, along with other company officials, recently visited Karachi to finalize the plans. The construction of the plant is set to begin within the next three months, with completion anticipated by next year. This facility will manufacture both electric and hybrid diesel buses.
The minister highlighted several benefits of this new venture, including the promotion of local industries, the creation of numerous job opportunities, and the potential savings in foreign exchange by producing buses domestically. Furthermore, the export of these locally manufactured buses is expected to bring additional economic benefits to Pakistan.

If they tranfer technology to build engine and other high tech parts otherwise it is useless like other motor companies in pakistan, they r making fool whole nation for last 30..40 yrs ,they r unable to produce engine parts…..
