LDA Demolishes and Seals Several Illegal Buildings in Lahore

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) conducted a significant operation on Monday, demolishing several structures and sealing 14 other constructions as part of its ongoing campaign against rule violators and commercial fee defaulters. Acting on the directives of Director General LDA Tahir Farooq, teams dismantled illegal floors in the Architect Engineering Society and demolished unauthorized commercial buildings at Plot No. 11 in Lahore Avenue Society. Additionally, they removed illegal shutters in Johar Town Block H and at Hamza Medical Complex on Jan Muhammad Road, and sealed unauthorized shops at Plot No. 186 in Qayyumabad Town.

In a crackdown on fee defaulters, the LDA teams imposed fines on 14 properties. The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali and Director Town Planning Zone IV Ali Nusrat. Before the operation, multiple notices were issued to the concerned properties. The enforcement wing and heavy police contingents were also involved in the operation.
