Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan went down by 40 percent during the last fiscal year (FY24).
According to data obtained by ProPakistani, Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan during FY24 stood at $538.6 million compared to imports of $893.2 million reported in FY23.
The imports from Afghanistan during June 2024 were also down by 38 percent to $22.5 million compared to $36.5 million in June 2023.
Contrary to imports, Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan rose by 9.5 percent to $1.06 billion in FY24 compared to exports of $972.4 million reported in FY23.
During June 2024, Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan rose 14.4 percent to $75 million compared to exports of $65.5 million in FY23.
