In a tragic incident, a man killed his younger brother during a dispute over an inflated electricity bill in Gujranwala, Punjab.
The police reported that the incident occurred at a house on Prince Road in Gujranwala city. The brothers, Murtaza and Umar Farooq argued about the exorbitant bill, which escalated into a violent confrontation. Murtaza used a sharp instrument to cut Umar’s throat, resulting in his immediate death. A case has been registered against Murtaza, and the police are conducting raids to apprehend him.
In a separate incident in Faisalabad, a man was stabbed to death by his younger brother over an “exorbitant electricity bill” as neither wanted to pay it. This incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Balochni police station, where an altercation between brothers Ghulam Fareed and Muhammad Qais over the bill led to the fatal stabbing.
