Thousands of teachers with associate degrees have gained the right to be promoted from PST (Primary School Teacher) to EST (Elementary School Teacher). The School Education Department has issued an explanatory notification to this effect.
Previously, teachers with associate degrees were not eligible for promotion and retired at the grade in which they were initially recruited. Now, their cases will be included in the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) considerations.
