The Punjab government has introduced a new plot allotment scheme to reward officers in civil service, Provincial Management Service (PMS), and police service.
Plots of two kanals, one kanal, and 10 marlas will be available near Kala Khatai Road Interchange. The scheme includes a 30% quota for Pakistan Administrative Services and PMS officers, 10% for police officers, and 30% for X-cadre employees.
Plots are priced at Rs 800,000 per marla, with payment options spread over eight years. Officers in grades 21-22 are eligible for two-kanal plots. The Planning and Development (P&D) department has issued an official letter and application form for the scheme.
Earlier this month, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced 1,224 free flats for workers in Taxila and Sunder labor colonies.
During a high-level meeting, key decisions were made to enhance workers’ welfare. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reviewed the Labor Department’s performance and received briefings on various projects, including scholarships for workers, the creation of labor colonies, and healthcare programs.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of these efforts and stated that 6 billion rupees have been allocated for overdue death and marriage grants to over 29,000 workers.
Approval was also given for the construction of two hostels for women workers in Garment City, providing accommodation for 704 women in Sheikhupura.
Agriculture lands are the real gold of Punjab. These agriculture lands are contributing to the GDP. But what a shame that Punjab government itself is destroying our green lands by converting huge agri lands into housing schemes for government employees. What these plots will generate in future?.
Also this scheme of distributing plots among Government employees is only common in Africa and Pakistan. Developed countries have no such practice.
All in all this PMLN government is the worst thing happened to Punjab. They have started the Bandar Baat and now Politicians and government employees are looting together.
2 Kanal and 1 Kanal plots for Senior government officers. Pmln is following the footsteps of establishment. Give as much money and assets to senior government employees so that no one will complain and all will enjoy power together. These plots are an indirect bribery actually.
Also senior government employees are already enjoying huge salaries, free housing, electricity, free medical and life long pension. Now they will get huge plots as well
Pakistan is the richest country on the planet or what. Even the rich countries of the world don’t distribute plots like that.
