Pakistan Women’s Head Coach Mohammad Wasim Confident Ahead of Asia Cup Semi-Final Clash

Pakistan Women’s team bagged a place in the Asia Cup 2024 semifinal after two comprehensive back-to-back victories against Nepal and UAE. They have shown remarkable progress in this tournament so far despite facing obstacles in the first instance by losing against India.

Pakistan’s opening pair Muneeba Ali and Gul Feroza chased down 104 runs in a record-breaking victory without losing a single wicket against UAE. Similarly, a brilliant display by Feroza against Nepal helped the side storm into the semis of the event.

Newly appointed Head Coach Mohammad Wasim praised the entire team for their effortless display as he emphasized the change in players’ approach to play freely.

He highlighted the importance of applying all the techniques which favour the game according to the situation. This change in approach has helped relieve stress and improved the overall team environment.

He further added, “The conditions favour the spinners, and our young bowlers have bowled excellently. Left-arm seamer Tasmia has been a great addition to our bowling lineup, and her performance has been impressive.”

Pakistan’s women’s cricket team is all set to play its semifinal led by Nida Dar against Srilanka tomorrow. India and Bangladesh are the other teams which are competing in knockouts.
