3G/4G Users in Pakistan Near 135 Million by End of June

“The number of cellular subscribers increased from 192.32 million at the end of May 2024 to 192.53 million by the end of June 2024, according to data from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The regulator’s data also revealed that the number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan increased from 133.26 million at the end of May 2024 to 134.87 million by the end of June.

Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration increased from 55.07 percent at the end of May to 55.61 percent by the end of June, while cellular teledensity—the number of connections for every hundred individuals in the country—remained the same at 79 percent by the end of June.

Jazz’s total count of 3G users declined from 3.145 million at the end of May to 3.041 million by the end of June. Jazz’s 4G users increased from 46.547 million at the end of May to 47.295 million by the end of June.

Zong’s 3G subscribers decreased from 2.026 million at the end of May to 1.983 million by the end of June, while the number of 4G users increased from 36.220 million at the end of May to 36.665 million by the end of June.

Telenor’s 3G subscribers decreased from 1.700 million at the end of May to 1.588 million by the end of June, while the number of 4G users increased from 24.419 million at the end of May to 24.680 million by the end of June.

Ufone’s 3G users stood at 2.238 million by the end of June compared to 2.278 million at the end of May. The number of Ufone’s 4G users increased from 15.306 million at the end of May to 15.652 million by the end of June.
