CM Punjab to Hold Grand Reception for Top Students

The Punjab government is set to honor the top matriculation students of the province in a grand ceremony on August 7. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will serve as the chief guest for the event, which aims to recognize and reward the exceptional academic achievements of these students.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that the ceremony will include special awards and cash prizes for the top students from all educational boards. Additionally, the students will receive an official protocol and a guard of honor upon their arrival in Lahore.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is also expected to announce scholarships for outstanding students during the event. The celebration will extend beyond the awards ceremony, with a dinner planned at the historic Lahore Fort to further honor the students.

Rana Sikandar Hayat praised Maryam Nawaz as an education-friendly chief minister with a vision to promote education. He also formed a coordination committee consisting of the secretaries of various boards.

He mentioned that this upcoming ceremony marks a return to celebrating academic excellence in Punjab, as it is the first such event since the one organized during Shehbaz Sharif’s tenure as chief minister seven years ago. No similar ceremonies were held during the periods of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and caretaker governments, he noted.

In a special gesture, the favorite teachers of the top students will also be recognized with awards. Students, their teachers, and parents traveling from across Punjab will stay in Lahore for two days to participate in the festivities.
