The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has announced the early opening of colleges across the province despite the summer break.
This decision is to mark “Youm-e-Istehsal,” a day dedicated to protesting the actions of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. The education department has instructed all colleges to remain open on August 5 and to organize special activities in observance of the day.
The planned activities will engage both staff and students, aiming to raise awareness and express condemnation of the oppression faced by Kashmiris due to actions by Indian forces.
Earlier, Sindh, Balochistan, and the Federal Ministry of Education extended the summer vacations. Sindh and Balochistan governments extended the summer vacations for all schools till August 14 due to the weather.
Meanwhile, Islamabad schools and colleges will remain closed until August 4.
