Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued a show-cause notice to its Deputy Station Manager in Birmingham after discovering that his intermediate certificate is allegedly fake, as reported by ARY News.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline sent the educational documents of Deputy Station Manager Javed Iqbal Bajwa to the relevant boards for verification. Following the verification process, it was determined that Bajwa’s intermediate certificate was not genuine.
The notice requires Bajwa to respond in writing within seven days, providing evidence to substantiate the authenticity of his certificate. Failure to do so may lead to disciplinary action, as stated in the notice.
In a separate incident, the PIA clarified the circumstances surrounding the arrest of its country manager in Bahrain, who was accused of mishandling passengers’ luggage. The airline explained that it does not maintain an office at Bahrain airport, leading to confusion about handling unclaimed luggage, which was later processed through the central office in the city.
The spokesperson emphasized that no criminal intent was involved, attributing the incident to the absence of a dedicated office at the airport. The PIA has sought legal support from the Pakistani embassy in Bahrain to address the situation, with senior officers appointed to handle the case in court.

PIA itself, its empolyees, unionism, political recruitments, fake certificates, disappearing in other countries & corruption at its best has not only caused embarrassment, it has destroyed the National Carrier, always wonder how other countries run their Airlines so sucessfully and we can not , either we are so deeply corrupted or we lack discipline, professionalism, dedication, may be ill trained and unsu8table employes for specific jobs.
