Applications are now open for the Chevening Scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year, offering an esteemed opportunity for Pakistani students to pursue a Master’s degree in the United Kingdom.
These scholarships, known for their comprehensive financial support, are available for any eligible Master’s program at over 100 UK universities.
Starting from yesterday, the Chevening Scholarships offer full financial coverage, including tuition fees, travel expenses, a monthly living allowance, and additional grants for thesis and dissertation work. This year, 1,500 awards are available globally, providing a significant opportunity for aspiring students.
To be eligible, applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country, hold an undergraduate degree, and have at least two years of work experience. They must also meet English language requirements. Applicants need to submit academic transcripts, a short biography essay, a certificate of achievement, and two recommendation letters.
The application process is highly competitive, with only 2% to 3% of applicants being selected. Selection criteria emphasize the candidate’s commitment to creating positive change in their home country and how a UK Master’s degree will facilitate this goal. Interested individuals can submit their applications via the Chevening website at chevening.org/apply.
Chevening officials highlight the transformative impact of the skills and knowledge gained through the scholarship. The program covers educational expenses and provides access to exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences in the UK.
While the scholarship does not include a post-graduation allowance, recipients are permitted to work full-time in the UK. However, they will need to arrange additional funds to support themselves after their studies.
