The government has announced the issuance of computerized arms licenses for citizens who hold a Balochistan domicile, as reported by ARY News on Thursday.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated a new branch dedicated to issuing these computerized arms licenses.
During his visit to the Computerized Arms License Branch at the DC office, Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that this project, which had been pending since 2017, is now fully operational. He pointed out that the introduction of this digital system is expected to greatly reduce complaints of corruption related to arms licenses.
Sarfraz Bugti also clarified that these computerized licenses will be available exclusively to residents with a Balochistan domicile and that the new system will be gradually rolled out across the entire province.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the digitization of legal documents, including local certificates, is currently in progress, and arms licenses will now be issued for five years.
