Punjab Police’s Animal Rescue Center known as PARC has announced a new initiative ahead of Pakistan’s Independence Day on August 14th.
PARC has announced that any form of animal abuse or violence is strictly prohibited and is a reportable offense. Any case of animal abuse can be reported on the phone number 03285804921.
As the screenshot shows, PARC’s offices are in Rawalpindi in Gawalmandi near Shaheen Steel.
We reached out to the person behind PARC, Yair Salman, who is a notable animal rescuer, for a comment on the initiative. Salman revealed that PARC has more than just an animal rescue helpline planned for August 14. PARC will be working with senior police officers of the Punjab Police to run a full-fledged campaign to help stray animals in the city.
As part of the initiative, PARC will be installing birdhouses around Rawalpindi and bowls to help feed animals. The campaign will also help spread awareness against animal abuse to protect helpless creatures against violence.
The campaign will start tomorrow and will last until August 14. PARC chose to launch this campaign around August 14 due to its importance in Pakistan’s history and Salman believes it is an opportune moment to introduce something new.
Readers are encouraged to report any form of animal abuse or violence to PARC at the mobile number shared above.
