Sazgar to Launch ORA 07 Electric Car Soon

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) has announced its upcoming launch of the ORA-07 EV, a new imported Completely Built Unit (CBU) electric vehicle (EV) in the coming days, the carmaker informed the main bourse on Tuesday.

The ORA-07 EV, under the sub-brand ORA of the Chinese automotive giant Great Wall Motors (GWM), will help grow Sazgar’s presence in the EV segment in Pakistan.

The car is designed to cater to both front-wheel and four-wheel drive preferences. It offers powerful system outputs ranging from 204 HP to 408 HP, coupled with a torque of up to 680 Nm. The GT model stands out with its impressive acceleration, reaching 0-100 Km/h in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h.

In terms of battery and range, the ORA-07 EV provides two battery options: a 64-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a range of 273 miles, and an 83-kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery offering a range of 354 miles. The vehicle supports fast DC charging, with a maximum charging power of approximately 95 kW.

The ORA-07 EV isn’t a small car. It stretches out nearly 5 meters in length, 1.86 meters in width, and 1.50 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.87 meters.

The vehicle weighs around 2,183 kg.

The design of the ORA-07 EV is equally impressive, featuring a sleek and modern exterior with small round headlights, a smooth body shape, and retractable door handles. Inside, the vehicle is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a digital instrument panel, ensuring a high-tech and immersive driving experience.

This launch comes on the heels of Sazgar’s previous venture into the electric vehicle market with the locally assembled Haval Jolion Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). The ORA-07 EV marks a significant step forward in the company’s expansion into the EV sector.

The booking for the ORA-07 EV is expected to commence shortly, offering consumers in Pakistan a new option in the growing electric vehicle market.

  • And who’s gonna buy it ? This car will cost more than 1 crore just in price . Plus taxes no one can afford it . No point. Launch all u want but it won’t sell

  • Ngl it looks pretty good… if only it were to have complete after sales service…large battery…and good build quality and a super competitive price…along with it being locally assembled…then it would be popular

  • I wonder who will buy it. The segment that can afford this car seems to be least interested. Poor marketing in play!
