Punjab University, facing a financial crunch, has implemented a new revenue policy, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. Under this new policy, students will no longer receive their degrees free of charge.
To obtain their degrees, each student will now be required to pay a fee of Rs6,000.

This marks the first time the university has revoked the provision of issuing degrees at no cost.
The administration made this policy change to generate additional revenue for the institution.
