RDA Seals Illegal Plaza in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) sealed an illegally constructed plaza in the Gulrez area.

The plaza was built by an occupation mafia without obtaining the necessary approval or NOC. An operation was carried out against the illegal commercial building with the support of the Airport police station team. Acting on the instructions of the DG RDA, the commercial illicit building and its supplementary building plan were sealed and confiscated, and an FIR was registered against those involved.

The RDA had initially issued notices to the property owners, as the plaza had been constructed without an approved site plan. The plot in question was reportedly registered under the name of Sardar Yasir Rashid.

However, another party illegally occupied the plot and constructed a building without getting the site plan approved. In response, the RDA, in collaboration with the police, sealed the building.

Sardar Yasir Rasheed, the owner of the kanal-sized plot, praised the RDA and Airport police for their efforts. He noted that the plaza had also been sealed in the past, but the powerful occupation mafia had illegally de-sealed it and resumed construction.

“The RDA administration took decisive action and sealed it again,” he acknowledged.
