The Oppo A3 is venturing out of China after over a month. It has now landed in India with a new spec sheet and a new design, almost like it’s a completely different phone with the same name.
The screen is still a 6.67-inch panel with 720p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is an LCD that can hit peak brightness levels of 1000 nits and has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz for a quick response time. Its fingerprint sensor resides on the side atop the power button and it is MIL-STD-810H rated for military-grade shock resistance.
The Snapdragon 695 SoC from its Chinese counterpart has been swapped out with a Dimensity 6300 chip with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage space that can be expanded through a microSD card.
You get Android 14 with ColorOS 14 on top for software.
Similar to the Chinese version, there is a 50MP main camera on the back alongside an auxiliary lens which is mostly there just for show. This camera can record 1080p videos at 30 FPS as well as 60 FPS.
The selfie camera inside the punch-hole cutout is a 5MP shooter.
The battery is almost the same at 5,100 mAh (up from 5,000 mAh) with the same 45W wired charging with a supporting charger included in the box.
Oppo A3 has a starting price of only $191 in India.
