Oppo plans to unveil its next flagship lineup, the Find X8 series, by the end of this year. Ahead of its release, we already know what features to expect from the premium handset.
The news comes from a reputable tipster Digital Chat Station which has revealed that the yet-to-be-announced Find X8 series will come with an Apple AirDrop-like feature, but better. Unlike AirDrop, users can share files directly with iPhones, but both sides need the app installed.
Specifications
Other than that, the tipster has also talked about Find X8’s specifications. It is expected to come with a 6.6-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. There is no word on peak brightness, but it is likely going to be 4500 nits or higher. The panel should be flat instead of the usual curved edges.
The chipset will be MediaTek’s upcoming flagship, the Dimensity 9400 which is expected to bring an 18% performance boost at the same power consumption while improving power efficiency by 34%. The software is going to be ColorOS 15 with various AI features.
There is not much information on the camera system, but the primary unit should be a 50MP Sony sensor sized at 1/1.4″ with enhanced image processing algorithms and Hasselblad tuning. There will also be a 3x periscope telephoto lens.
Finally, the battery should be somewhere between 5100 – 5500 mAh, but there is no mention of charging tech.
