Punjab Chief Minister announced on Tuesday that the pilot phase of the school meal program will commence in southern Punjab on September 5, with plans to extend it to other cities across the province, including Lahore.
“This initiative is designed to combat nutritional deficiencies by providing milk packets to students from nursery through fifth grade,” the CM stated during a ceremony recognizing top achievers from the Punjab Boards.
Maryam Nawaz also highlighted that among the 138 position holders from 9 boards in Punjab, 70 are girls and 68 are boys, expressing confidence that these students will bring pride to Pakistan on the global stage.
Earlier this month, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that the School Meal Program would be launched in September, initially in three districts of South Punjab.

The scheme will be a total failure. Remember my words.
Those who say, the scheme will fail, are you expecting profit from it? Welfare schemes rarely generate any profit. Some children will actually get some food, the rest depends on controlling or supporting corruption. It is apparent that few milk provider will benefit massively from it.
Govt must start some monthly income support for citizens of 60years and above
They will get food just few days in this scheme government his tail will get benefits or funds
