SPSC Cancels CCE 2023 Screening Test After Poor Results

The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has declared the screening test for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2023, conducted on August 10, 2024, null and void.

This decision follows a review meeting held on Thursday, which determined that only a minimal number of candidates met the required 50% passing threshold.

In a meeting on August 22, 2024, at its Karachi regional office, SPSC reviewed the implications of the recent test results. The commission voiced concerns that if the results were not annulled, there would be an insufficient number of qualified candidates to fill the available positions in the next stages of the examination process.

To resolve the issue, SPSC has announced that the Screening Test for CCE-2023 will be re-conducted. The commission has urged all candidates to intensify their preparations to meet the required standards in the rescheduled test.

The initial test saw 27,060 candidates apply, with examination centers set up in Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad, and Larkana to accommodate them. The SPSC’s decision to retake the screening test seeks to provide all candidates with a fair chance to meet the necessary criteria and ensure a comprehensive selection process.
