A significant scandal involving the allocation of billions of rupees in subsidies to schools across Sindh has been exposed by ARY News. According to their report on Friday, an audit has uncovered severe breaches of laws and regulations in the disbursement of subsidy funds to 27 schools, raising concerns about financial mismanagement.
The audit report reveals that despite the expiration of their registration and National Tax Number (NTN), over Rs. 8,532 million were disbursed as subsidies to school owners, which blatantly violated established policies.
Additionally, the report points out that these subsidy funds were released without proper verification of enrollment and attendance records for the 27 schools implicated.
The audit report has described this as a serious violation of ethical standards and has called for an immediate investigation to hold those responsible accountable.
