The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has decided to hire individuals with master’s degrees as College Teacher Interns (CTIs) rather than recruiting regular lecturers, according to a report on Wednesday.
A summary has been submitted for approval, with plans to appoint CTIs for eight months.
These interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs50,000, and the recruitment process is anticipated to begin next month.
However, the department will not be hiring regular lecturers through the Public Service Commission, which could create challenges for many unemployed master’s degree holders.

A stupid idea. The standard of education will plunge further and regular teachers will become unemployed. These government functionaries have lost sense and common sense.
I don’t think it is an stupid idea rather than it will make a biblical change in the educational system as new and skilled students will apply that will ameliorate teaching standards and at the same time many unemployed bachelors will be employed and get a experience that is almost required in every field
This is bullshits. Instead of this HEC has to downsize HEC where one can find alot of bullshits like DG affiliation and DG non affiliation, DG tea making and DG lanch and DG dinner, DG curruption and DG non cupption

Apparently you have had a bad experience. Maybe due to your own shortcomings. The HEC is one organisation that has built repute across the globe and it’s scholars get easy visas and it’s verification is accepted by the global community.

Well, it’s a good idea to work on, but for the one who is a fresh graduate(bachelors) since they require an experience. It would be like a little drill for becoming professional instructor.However,it is going to be unfair for the one holding a masters degree. Let they be selected as regular lectures.

Only relatives on education Deptt or through high approach interns will be hired. I have gone through this favouritism experience many times.

The HEC deals with Higher Education only which is defined as education at bachelor and higher degree levels. College teacher interns is the project of Provincial Government of Punjab and falls under the Higher Education Department of Punjab government. Even otherwise, the HEC doesn’t hire teachers, universities does. The author should have read the administrative mechanism of various government departments before jumping on the keyboard.
