Saudi Arabia to Ban Hajj Pilgrims With These Health Issues

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has enforced a new health advisory for Hajj 2025, imposing strict health requirements on pilgrims. According to a spokesperson for Religious Affairs, those with severe medical conditions will be barred from performing the pilgrimage.

Due to expected severe weather conditions during the Hajj season, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has set strict health requirements. Only healthy and physically fit individuals will be allowed to perform Hajj.

Those with serious health issues, including kidney, heart, lung, liver conditions, cancer, dementia, or infectious diseases like tuberculosis (TB) and whooping cough, will be prohibited from participating in Hajj.

The advisory added that children under 12 and pregnant women will be excluded from the Hajj. Furthermore, all pilgrims must be vaccinated against meningitis, COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and polio before participating in the pilgrimage.
