Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has changed the paper-checking policy and directed authorities to include temporary teachers in paper checking and invigilation duties.
According to details, intern teachers currently serving in schools and colleges will be eligible to perform examination-related duties, including paper checking and invigilation.
The new program will begin from the next examination session. Under the program, university graduates, School Teacher Interns and other qualified individuals will be given the required training before being assigned examination duties.
The decision comes after the Punjab government imposed a ban on private teachers from performing examination-related duties.
The move is expected to expand the pool of trained staff available for future examinations in the province.
