The Federal Urdu University has announced the postponement of its admission test originally scheduled for tomorrow due to the ongoing heavy rains in Karachi. The decision affects candidates applying for MPhil, MS, and PhD programs, as confirmed by the Director of Admissions, Dr. Mohammad Rashid Tanveer.
The inclement weather and rain, which has disrupted daily life across Karachi, prompted university officials to reschedule the tests to ensure the safety and convenience of all applicants. The admission tests will now be held on Friday, September 6, at 3 PM. Students are instructed to arrive at the testing center by 2 PM to ensure a smooth and timely process.
Dr. Tanveer emphasized the university’s commitment to accommodating students during this period of adverse weather conditions. “The safety of our students is our top priority, and we want to ensure that all candidates have a fair opportunity to participate in the admission process without the added stress of navigating through severe weather,” he stated.
The university has advised all affected candidates to stay updated through official communication channels for any further announcements or changes. Students are encouraged to plan their travel to the testing center accordingly, taking into account the potential for continued rain and traffic disruptions.
