Xiaomi is expanding its audio offerings with the Redmi Buds 6 Lite, a new pair of budget-friendly true wireless earbuds. Despite their affordable price, the Buds 6 Lite don’t skimp on features, boasting 12.4 mm drivers, active noise cancellation (ANC), and an impressive 38-hour battery life with the included charging case.
The earbuds feature a comfortable in-ear design with customizable silicone tips, and Bluetooth 5.3 is utilized for connectivity. The ANC technology effectively reduces external noise by up to 40dB, while dual microphones ensure clear call quality with reduced background distractions.
Users can further personalize their audio experience with adjustable EQ settings through the Xiaomi Earbuds app. However, keep in mind that the Xiaomi Earbuds app only comes with a handful of default EQ presets and does not offer in-depth EQ adjustment which you can likely find in your phone’s settings.
On a single charge, the Redmi Buds 6 Lite provides up to 7 hours of listening time, which can be extended to 38 hours with the charging case. The battery will naturally last a few hours less with active noise cancellation enabled.
You can choose between black, blue, and white color options for the Redmi Buds 6 Lite, which comes with a starting price of €20 around Europe.
The Redmi Buds 6 series only includes two models for now, the Buds 6 Lite and Buds 6 Active. This means we will likely see the vanilla Redmi Buds 6 as well as the Redmi 6 Pro later on and perhaps a cheaper Redmi Buds 6C as well.
