Around 20,000 Pakistanis Are Jailed Abroad

ProPakistani has obtained exclusive data revealing that approximately 20,000 Pakistanis are currently imprisoned in 88 countries around the world.

This staggering figure includes 68 individuals facing the death penalty for serious offenses such as terrorism, murder, and drug smuggling.

According to the data, 5,292 individuals are incarcerated in the United Arab Emirates, while Saudi Arabia holds 10,432 Pakistani prisoners. Malaysia has 463, the United Kingdom 321, and Oman 578.

387 Pakistanis are in prison in Turkey, 371 in Bahrain, and 598 in Greece. China has 406, Germany 90, and Iraq 40. Additionally, 114 Pakistanis are imprisoned in the United States, 89 in Sri Lanka, and 92 in Spain.

There are also 85 Pakistani prisoners in Afghanistan, 48 in South Africa, and 186 in France. This data highlights the critical need for addressing the conditions and legal support for Pakistani citizens detained abroad.
