Book-style foldables are all competing to become the thinnest with Samsung even rumored to release an additional thinner model for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Now rumor has it that OnePlus’s upcoming iteration will also be one of the thinnest options available.
The successor to last year’s Oppo Find N3/OnePlus Open was recently teased by renowned Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, although the original post has since been removed.

The Find N5, skipping the number “4” in its naming convention likely due to the Chinese cultural aversion to the number (tetraphobia), is rumored to pack impressive specifications. At its heart will be Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The device will also feature a high-resolution “2K+” inner folding display, a 50MP primary camera with a Sony sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and a distinctive circular camera island.
Rumors suggest a thickness of just over 9mm, putting it in close competition with the current record holder, the Honor Magic V3. Even if the Find N5 falls short of claiming the crown, achieving a sub-10mm thickness remains a remarkable feat in the foldable phone arena.
Beyond its sleek design, the Find N5 is rumored to boast several noteworthy upgrades. Improved water resistance is expected, addressing a limitation of its predecessor, which only offered basic splash resistance with an IPX4 rating. Additionally, the device is said to feature a three-stage alert slider, a popular feature commonly found on OnePlus smartphones.
While an official release date remains under wraps, industry whispers suggest a launch window between January and March. Initial availability may be limited to the Chinese market, with a global release expected later under the OnePlus Open 2 branding. If these rumors prove accurate, the OnePlus Open 2 will inherit the same impressive specifications and features as its Chinese counterpart, the Find N5.
