Is 11 September Going to be a National Holiday This Year?

The 76th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, will be observed on Wednesday, September 11.

As of now, the government has not declared a public holiday for Quaid-e-Azam’s death anniversary on September 11. While the government has the authority to announce such a holiday, it appears unlikely this year.

According to the official public holiday schedule for 2024, this day is not listed as a national holiday.

The day is typically marked with Quran recitations and prayers at the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi. On this occasion, Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television broadcast special programs to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s independence.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah passed away in 1948, soon after leading the nation to freedom.
