Gold Price Hits All-Time High in Pakistan as International Prices Soar

The price of gold in Pakistan breached the record high mark for the second time this week on Friday. 

According to data issued by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold (24 carats) rose by Rs. 2,900 per tola to Rs. 265,900, while the price of 10 grams climbed by Rs. 2,486 to Rs. 227,966.  

The previous record high price of the precious metal in Pakistan was recorded on September 11, at Rs. 264,000 per tola.  

In the international market gold prices hit a record high on Thursday with spot gold up 1.7 percent at $2,554.05 per ounce as of 1810 GMT, while the US gold futures were 1.5 percent higher at $2,580.60.
