A Boeing aircraft traveling from Dhaka to Baku had to make an emergency landing in Karachi due to a technical malfunction.
FlyPro airline’s flight FP 5202 encountered the issue while flying over Indian airspace, and the problem persisted as the plane entered Pakistani airspace. The pilot contacted Karachi Air Traffic Control and, after receiving clearance, diverted the flight from Sukkur to Karachi.
The aircraft safely landed at Jinnah International Airport at 2:45 AM and remained there for inspection. According to a PIA spokesperson, the flight landed in Karachi due to a fuel shortage. FlyPro’s flight touched down without assistance at 2:40 AM.
In a separate incident, a Sharjah to Dhaka flight made an emergency landing in Karachi after a 42-year-old passenger died mid-flight. Medical personnel confirmed the death, and the flight continued two hours later with the body onboard.
Additionally, Qatar Airways Flight QR 932, bound for the Philippines, had to land in Karachi following an engine failure at 39,000 feet. The plane landed safely, and passengers were accommodated in the lounge while the aircraft was inspected.
An Ethiopian Airlines cargo flight ET 3644 was also diverted to Karachi after being unable to land in Ahmedabad. The aircraft safely landed at Jinnah International Airport and later resumed its journey.
