Senior Officer Lodges Complaint Against Recruitment Process of Pakistan Customs

A senior customs officer has raised concerns about the recruitment process done by the collectorate of Customs Islamabad.

The document shows that the Chairperson Department selection committee Ansir Anise has written a letter to the Chief Collector North Islamabad about the shortlisting process of candidates recruited for posts 1 to 15 grade.

The chief collector’s office had formulated the DSC on July 12, 2024, and I(Ansir Anise) was made Chairperson of the DSC (1 to 10)۔ She stated in the letter that the collectorate of Customs Islamabad had conducted the fitness test along with running and push up of the post of Sepoy August 13 to 22، 2024۔

Similarly، the collectorate has shortlisted candidates for interview for the post of driver after conducting written and skill tests۔

The DSC has not been engaged in the shortlisting process، Nor the shortlisting criteria shared with the DSC۔

She revealed that DSC has not been provided the results for the post of Sepoy and drivers as per instructions of Board۔

Sources said that collector Islamabad Asif Hargon supervised the process of recruitment۔ Reportedly the Collector blue-eyed driver has also applied for the job in Customs۔ The driver’s parent department is the Federal Public Service Commission and he is on deputation in the Collectorate of Customs Islamabad۔

It is pertinent to note that the Establishment Division has also transferred Asif Hargon to the Joint Secretary Finance Division.
