Gold Rate in Pakistan Breaks All Records to Hit New High

The price of gold in Pakistan continued its record-breaking run on Thursday and hit the Rs. 277,000 mark.

According to data issued by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 1,500 per tola to Rs. 277,000, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,285 to Rs. 237,482.

After going up by Rs. 1,100 per tola on Tuesday, the price of gold rose by Rs. 2,500 per tola on Wednesday to hit an all-time high of Rs. 275,500 per tola.

In the international market, spot gold was steady at $2,665 per ounce at the time of filing.

The price of gold has risen by more than Rs. 56,000 per tola since the start of the year primarily due to an increase in international prices.

Meanwhile, silver remains attractive at Rs. 3,050 per tola.
